While it is not the most original shot ever, it does stand out as a classic mountain landscape shot that is well executed.
The landscape itself is breathtaking and the composition is very well done, with some nice foreground interest leading up to the peak lit by the sunset.
The colors are all very nice, especially with the lighting on the mountainside as well as the flowers up front.
The non-standard frame size also works very well in this shot.
If I have any critique, I think the technique used to equalize the dynamic range could be toned back (I am actually having a hard time telling how it was done, filters, frame blending, hdr) Of course however it is done is well executed, the only issue with that is that the brightness levels of the foreground seem to overtake the background, which feels slightly unnatural. In addition, it seems as if some detail might be lost in the sky. But these are minor issues that do not detract much if at all from the overall image.
