Northern Lights over the Spiral Tunnel mountain in British Columbia.

Last night there was a solar storm and the northern lights were predicted to be very active. I saw a green glow in the sky after work and then and there was my first time ever seeing the Northern Lights. I then headed out for photos. As i got my location it started to cloud over but i tried to make the best of it.
The red is lights from the passing trucks.

Next time i see the lights, i will know what to expect when trying to photograph them. first time is always the hardest@!

Dani, for a first attempt this is VERY good! I do envy you for having the chance to see the Northern Lights. The closest I get to seeing the Northern Lights in England is the lamppost at the top of our street after 7pm ;-)

Thanks for sharing

It gets better with practice...look forward to seeing your future frames of them. The cloud adds an awesome effect, though!
