Boreas (Greek: Βορέας, Boréas) was the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of winter. His name meant "North Wind" or "Devouring One". Boreas is depicted as being very strong, with a violent temper to match.
The big piece of ice in the foreground was originally attached to the pier I was standing on. All the rocks along the pier stop just after the tree on the left hand side. The rest is just pure ice. Where I was standing, would have been just on the edge/in the water if it were summer. (I was on a small incline of ice.
The ice chunks in the water may have blurry spots, as it was extremely windy (i know it looks a wee bit peaceful) Wind was probably 30-40 km/h, and I was facing it, so my hood did nothing but get blown off.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It can be found anywhere and at any time in our lives. The magic of art is that we can express our beauty for others to see, be it in photography, digital or as I do, in literature. Always look within that, which is right in front of you, and you will capture the true beauty that was meant to be seen. Thank you to all those I for allowing me the pleasure to indulge my passion for art......
